Hi, bonjour :)
Is there a special process to use alpha channel on GT1 car templates as to render matte and shiny parts? Or 3d will always render a complete shiny car whatsoever alpha is used?

Only Lamborghini (GT1), some flat6 GTC and 908 cars can use and render an alpha layer, said Vevex :)

Sorry but I was wrong with Lamborghini's cars..........they don't use Alpha.
Car list using it is : Flat6 GTC Oreca FLM Acura P2 Peugeot 908
