so in the readme... you wrote that a new shader technology was develped for sp1 and it was put on v1 cars as well. question is: will you use these same shaders for future cars as well (post-sp1?)

on a sidenote: i might be wrong but those new rims on audi and saleen are a little more "convex" than they should be no?

i know all is wip i though i just thought it looks weird or maybe its just the angle that make it look like that or the shadows? i dont know. it just feels like they are "bilging" out of the plane of the wheel in the mod, while they are more "flat" in real life, and the spokes curve more inwards, same for saleen. in other words, it seems that the center of the wheel is closer to the middle of the car in real life (and the spoke "wave" is overdone, look weird) in that aspect previous versions of the wheels were more realistic

http://www.flickr.com/photos/10375734@N05/2595640024/sizes/l/in/photostream/

so the spokes on the wheel are less "wavy" in real life, and they feels like they are pointing more inwards. furthermore the center of the wheel wich the spokes attach to should be smaller. Just look at these

To me the oz-rims look great. Need to see them ingame but from the pics it's okay I guess.

1st and 3rd link you showed are another type of rims, with 15 spokes. We modeled the standard 14 spokes rims of the R10 (witch you can see on the 2nd link) and in this case our rims are rather good looking compared to the real ones.

okay but i wasnt talking about the number of spokes but rather their shape. they seem to be slightly convex in your mod, while they are rather flat, or slightly concave in real life. there is only minor difference but it gives a really weird shape to the wheel

Well to compare this you have to take same angle, otherwise it's wrong. And if a take close angles, result is close :

http://www.flickr.com/photos/antiundersteer/2249627600/sizes/l/in/photostream/
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4088/5205805093_d6bdf40fef_o.jpg

And it's still not 100% same angle anyway. And again...maybe it's time to end the "who will find an error game", cause then you start to see bugs everywhere even when they are no bugs.

thanks for the screen. far be it from me to criticize your hard work you already put into this mod, and im not finding bugs deliberately, here is a comparision image where you can better see the difference (that the spokes on the real car are more "straight" line while their curve is not quote correct in the screenshot, and the center of the wheel seems to be deeper in real life or the area that the spokes attach to is smaller in real)

Well ok, for me the rims we did are good, and 10 times better then previous ones.

I think it's the lighting/shadow system of rFactor that makes them look different.

uh-huh. so you say the shape of the spokes are fine. and what about the circular area where the spokes attach to with "oz" written on it? seems to be a bit oversized (slightly too wide) in the mod (something that was correct in the previous version of the mod). same for saleen

here is a screen.

Ok man, you're opinion is understanded, no need to make 10 posts about that, thanks. Everybody is free to have his own opinion (and you surely know we take community points in consideration during the dev when they are right), so thank you for the feedback.

np, anyway take in consideration that the mod dev is locked so there will be no further investigation on it for the SP1 (does not mean we won't make checks later).

I think in relative terms this is a very small issue. Will you see the differences when you are driving? :dingue:

You could go around in circles looking for the smallest mistakes forever. The models look 99.9% fine, why worry about the last 0.01% when they won't be apparent compared to the quality of the mod as a whole.

Anyways, best of luck guys, looks like the release is right around the corner - can't wait! :bravo:

i wouldnt say a thing if if i though it was unrealistic but still looking good (like the previous version). and in this case there is a difference between mod and real version, i never said that it was huge, but its very noticible (in the screenshot, which is all we have right now. and some vids.). but anyway. better close this topic before kloche says so.

Will you release the version with old lights? I mean like in v1. I don't like the new lights, because i can't see detail or definition on it. If you just compare the pictures of Peugeot braking on page 4 ( new lights) http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1329/5149073762_185f17392e_o.jpg and the one in official 908 gallery http://www.enduracers.com/gallery/plog-content/images/endurance-series---rfactor/11062010--endurance-series-sp1---peugeot-908-hdi/es-sp1-214p2yz.jpg

(old light) you can see it.

Anyway, thanks for your hard work on the mod!
