Could you tell me please what is the difference between the "pit_crew.dds" and the "pit_crew_S.dds" THere seems to be only one template for a pit crew.

pitcrew_s is the specular file for the pitcrew texture. It is managing the dynamic evolution of the shadows on the pitcrew suit.
You can remove the pitcrew_s.dds if you want, it's not very important.

Thanks Klo-che. I actually took the _s.dds out once to see what happened and without it my pit guy had the remains of the rfactor "R" logo on his chest and hat. Odd, when I put it back in only my decals are there?
