That blog is really beautiful, and can be useful for you IMHO (in terms of blueprints of physics infos). Love it.

Maybe exauce it's a win against no one, there is no real opposition anymore in LMS and Rebellion has the worst reliability level in the past years in the champ. ILMC is killing LMS, witch was previsible.
Good job Anyway from Pesca.

I'm really happy for Pescarolo, and i'm really happy for 458 win, the first one victory ever. Yeah, sadly most of Porsches were out after the worst race start ever LOL so..no fights (except AF vs. JMW).

The 2010 908 spec already had a more "existing" sound then previous versions, but indeed it start to be something like a sound yeh. But still far far from mythical endurance sounds...

I quite like the sound of the diesels, I think i'd prefer to drive a car sounding like that for multiple hour long stints rather than a screaming GT2 that's going to give you a migraine

I'm not agree at all. A true sport car imho needs to have a good sound, but..is just a personal opinion of course oldskool.

Looks like the 458 GT2 is already starting to dominate the category. Porsche needs to react next year.

Maybe they will retire 911 and develop a racing version of the new 961 mid-engined V8 car (what's wrong with 4.0L B6 ). It seems like the 458 and MP4-12C will move the game up a level.

mmh reading today new EVO (italy) -i'm talking about the magazine- i readed an article about Porsche and his future..they want to compete at Le Mans with 918 RSR and..in future, they want to build (just an idea) a 918 not-hybrid, with same structure and same engine position. This car, quoting magazine's words, will be the true competitor against McLaren MP4-12c and 458 italia.
And, an another thing, they want to retire the flat-6 engine, with a 4 cylinder engine...
EDIT sorry pandamasque,i didn't read your post, almost the same than mine.

Sounds like rubbish to me, the 918 RSR is in a completely different league than the MP4-12c and 458.
As for retiring the Flat-6, yeh right, a 911 without a Flat-6 is not a 911 and Porsche without a 911 is not Porsche anymore.

yes, the 918 RSR "if" they'll put it on track will be in LMP1 (that's strange for me but, is on magazine...). About road car, well.. if you remove electrical engines and you put incar a normal V8, imho can be a good competitor against 458 and mp412c; this car in their mind will be not 100% the same as 918 but just inspired.
I'm agree with you about the engine, anyway we'll see if they'll build flat-4 or just 4 cylinder inline (sad..).

Are you in Porsche board? Otherwise you're just guessing like I am. I'm all for variety so I wouldn't like to see either the 911 or the Boxer-6 go. But some even suggest that the next gen 911 (991) is planned to be the last
PS: I was talking about the new 961, not 918 http://www.autoblog.com/2011/05/03/first-details-of-porsches-next-911-based-flagship-the-961/

yes me too Panda ;) the 961, 918 inspired.
I'm curious to see the new 911, called 991..yes can be the last 911 sadly. I'm a Ferrari fan but i like a lot too Porsches, and i totally respect that cars so..i'm really sad to listen this.

Beautiful 1000km Spa yesterday, i liked it a lot. Happy for Ferrari, we have a great car but needs a bit of development more. Peugeot incredibly fast and consistent; Audi needs to work a lot more..they have a fast car but..a bit fragile and too much errors for an endurance race. Sad to see RSRs in low positions..needs to react and work on car, they can reach competitor's level. BMW is fast as usual.

Great LMS race Indeed, glad to see a new car on the top (ferrari).
Shows that all the work really helped, damn that car looks so damn sick, those front headlights :D.
